Sylvania Lightify LED Recessed Lighting Kit Sylvania SMART+ RT5/6 RGBW Zigbee Bulbs
Overall Rating
These are one of the favorite lights in my home. The family loves them. It’s not just about the color, it’s how clear the light and vibrant the lights are.
I know everyone has heard that Osram intends to stop the production and support of their cloud service. But never fear. These are Zigbee lights that will play well with a Zigbee hub.

Ease of Installation
Assuming that you have the proper style of can in your ceiling, these are very easy to install as far as retrofit light go. If you need to change the can, you may be in for more work. The video explains in more detail.
White Color Correctness
Please note that my method for determining this is an app on my phone. It is by no means scientific. I can say that these lights varied less against the app than other bulbs, so that does say something.
As you can see in the chart below, both of the readings were off by 3%, which in my opinion means the light is at least stable in how it produces the light. The error could be on either the light side, the app side or both.
White Setting | White Reading | Difference |
3000k | 2910k | 90k (3%) |
5500k | 5330k | 170k (3%) |
RGB Color Correctness
I have no way to really tell how correct the colors are. But they are pretty!
Command Reliability
I ran a test very similar to my Automated Lock Testing and Error Rates test, similar tool, same types of outputs. In short, this sends commands to from the hub to the light to see if it reliably turns on and off.
Test ID | Hub | Target Cycles | On Success | Off Success | Mismatch | Notes | Reliability |
1 | HE | 100 | 49 | 49 | 1 | 6’ from Hub | 98.5% +/-0.5% |
2 | HE | 100 | 45 | 44 | 5 | 6’ from Hub | 92.0% +/-3.0% |
I get it, not seeing a device come in at 100% can be alarming. It may even cause you to doubt if you should by the light/switch/lock. The truth is, this isn’t as bad as it sounds. These results are performed in my lab and I cycle the devices faster than you ever would under normal circumstances. The lights I have in my home never have a problem and perform far better than what my lab results show.
